Matt decides to stand against the Mystic Falls vampires in The Vampire Diaries 7×15 “I Would for You” episode!

In The Vampire Diaries 7×15 “I Would for You” episode Matt finally decides to make a real stand against the vampires in Mystic Falls, but will he survive?

Executive producer Carolyn Dries said we’ll soon find out why we’re not seeing Matt Donovan in the flash forwards, and will begin to understand the reason for it. Could it be that the reason is because when he takes a stand against the vampires he is killed? We know he has vampire blood in his system which would mean he could return as a vampire, but we’ve also learned that once a person begins the transition they must feed or they will die for real.

With Nora starting to show “other layers of her personality” she’ll begin to have an effect on Matt’s “staunch anti-vampire” stance. According to Dries, Nora starts “to pull at his belief system.”

With reference to the Phoenix sword and stone, Caroline Dries reveals that, “We’ll slowly but surely start to piece together this mythology that we’ve been building with that sword and the stone and why that’s the spine of this season.”

“I Would for You” press release synopsis

A WORLD WITHOUT DAMON SALVATORE — While Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Valerie (guest star Elizabeth Blackmore) search for a magical herb that can keep him hidden from Rayna (guest star Leslie-Anne Huff), Damon (Ian Somerhalder) comes up with his own plan to take her down for good. However, while at The Armory, Bonnie (Kat Graham) makes a shocking discovery about Rayna that brings Damon’s plan to a screeching halt. Elsewhere, a conversation with Caroline (Candice King) leaves Stefan questioning their future together, while Matt (Zach Roerig) decides it may be time to truly take a stand against the vampires of Mystic Falls. Finally, as the season’s middle chapter draws to a close, Damon’s desire to take himself out of the game ramps up as he races to complete unfinished business with Stefan and Bonnie. Michael Malarkey and Matt Davis also star.

This episode was written by Brian Young and directed by Mike Karasick.
