They can either learn to live together or kill each other. He thinks they’ll do the latter.

Klaus tests the walls Finn created and tells Kol they have a witch problem then tells him to fix it since he’s now a witch. Marcel warns Gia to be careful of her attitude. He’s looking for some alcohol to try and keep his vampires from blowing up at the werewolves.

“Gonna Set Your Flag on Fire” press release synopsis

WHEN TWO SIDES COLLIDE – With Vincent (guest star Yusuf Gatewood) on the loose and hell bent on revenge, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) brings Cami (Leah Pipes) to the safe house as he and Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) return to the compound. Hayley and Jackson (guest star Nathan Parsons) devise a plan to bring the vampires and werewolves together to consider a truce, but tensions grow when Vincent places a spell on the compound, trapping the two sides together. Meanwhile, Elijah (Daniel Gillies) grows concerned when Rebekah fails to show up at the safe house, prompting Klaus to confront Kaleb (guest star Daniel Sharman) for answers. Lastly, after accepting her mother’s offer to jump into a new body, Rebekah (guest star Maisie Richardson-Sellers) turns to former Harvest girl Cassie (guest star Natalie Dreyfuss) for help when she finds herself trapped inside an insane asylum. Danielle Campbell and Charles Michael Davis also star.

Elijah tries to call Rebekah. Cami wants to drink, to escape some of her demons, but Elijah doesn’t believe her. Cami suggests a board game when her mention of Hayley seems to freak Elijah out. He doesn’t want to talk about his relationship with her.

At the compounds, Klaus brings up Elijah to Hayley and teases her about their sexual relations. He says he’s glad they finally got together. Klaus sees Hayley is worried about Jackson and tells her it’s okay to lie. Sometimes it’s best.

At the asylum, Cassie tells Rebekah why they’re all there. Rebekah says she wants to send a distress signal to somebody.

Davina arrives and Kol warns her not to touch the wall. Then they start chanting to drop it. Marcel watches, making sure everybody is okay. Davina and Kol can’t drop the wall because Finn is using Mikael’s power to keep it up. Mikael has been spelled and unconscious in a magical circle, the way Papa Tunde did with Rebekah to channel her power.

Cami asks Elijah some questions from Trivial Pursuit, but he knows all the answers. When she accidentally spills some whiskey on his shirt, he goes crazy trying to get it off. Cami tries to snap him out of it when he gets a call from Angelica Barker, the person Rebekah was supposed to be switched into. She is still herself and NOT Rebekah. Now he know Rebekah is missing. He calls Klaus, and Kol listens in. Kol tells Klaus they need to distract Finn so they can bring the wall down.

Hayley takes Jackson into a room and confesses she’s been with Elijah. Jackson, hurt, asks if she loves Elijah. When she doesn’t answer, Jackson knows the truth. He tells her he doesn’t want her to feel like marrying him is a sacrifice.

Josh and Aiden go upstairs and start making out. He wants to tell about their relationship, but Aiden is afraid of what the other werewolves might do. Josh feels funny because Finn is doing a spell to make all the vampires hungry.

Klaus, seeing the hungry vampires with the werewolves their only source of food, angrily calls Finn. When Finn won’t back down, he tells him where Esther is.

Rebekah and Cassie chant to get Klaus a message to Klaus. They’re using letter tiles to send the message. A woman opens their door and breaks it up because it’s time for them to eat.

At the compound everybody is getting testy. Kol comes up with a solution but turns out they can’t stop the magic because it will also stop the daylight rings from working.

Elijah is also testy and starts to move toward Cami. He leaves when he sees Cami is scared of him. At the asylum, Rebekah realizes Kol really screwed her. She sees a ghostly figure as a guard and another lady come to sedate her. She tries to fight, but can’t escape. When they leave she follows the ghostly figure as it goes up the stairs.

Finn finds a weak Esther, who is now a vampire. At the compound, Aiden is cut and Josh goes to help him. The blood lust of the vampires starts and Klaus rushes to stop Josh so he doesn’t get hurt. Kol and Davina begin the spell.

Rebekah follows the ghost to a room but can’t get in. Then it opens. When she goes in she sees a casket. Then the guard comes and Rebekah is dragged away. They realize she hasn’t been taking the medication and force it down her throat.

At the tomb in the cemetery, Finn, furious, can’t look at Esther, who begs his forgiveness. He says she’s a hypocrite and tells her it’s time they finish  what they started. Then he spells her.

The werewolves rush out when Kol and Davina complete the spell and the walls drop for a few seconds. Klaus throws Kol in with the hungry vampires as the wall comes back up and demands to know where Rebekah. He tells him the asylum. Davina watches as Marcel tries to keep Kol from becoming a vampire meal.

By a fire in the bayou, Jackson proposes to Hayley. He loves her and apologizes for his temper. His beautiful speech says he wants to save the pack and be a good husband, he doesn’t ask for her love. She says yes and he puts a ring on her finger.

Klaus asks Eljah to protect Hope as he takes care of Rebekah. Elijah agrees. He apologizes to Cami saying he’s not used to doing nothing. He hates that he’s not able to protect her and Hope. Cami offers herself as a friend and shrink!

Klaus goes to see Esther in the cemetery, but she’s gone. Finn spelled Esther and is channeling her and Mikael’s power, like Papa Tunde, using their black magic to create a powerful spell that will make everybody pay, including them.

At the compound, the vampires are still hungry and Kol can’t escape.

Gonna Set Your Flag on Fire” ends as Rebekah is tucked into bed after being sedated. The letters on the floor spell “Freya.” The ghost she was following is Freya, first born of the Mikaelson family. The first born Dahlia took as payment for helping Esther have children.

The next episode of The Originals is 2×15 “They All Asked for You” on Monday, March 9th, 2015, at 8/7c, on The CW!
