Spoilers and promotional pictures for The Originals mid-season premiere 2×10 “Gonna Set Your Flag on Fire” rerun!

As The Originals promo picture above for the mid-season premiere 2×10 “Gonna Set Your Flag on Fire” shows, Cami discovers baby Hope is really alive!

One of the pictures show Aiden, played by Colin Woodell, with what looks like a major bite on his arm, while another picture looks like Klaus is holding Josh, played by Steven Kreuger, back. Is it because Aiden may be at death’s door?

According to executive producer Julie Plec, while there are big plans in 2015 for Jaiden, the bad news is that one, or maybe both, may be at death’s door.

Julie Plec on Jaiden’s future

I get into fights with the writers because I’ll be pitching a story and I’ll say, ‘And this is where Josh dies,” and they’ll be like, ‘No!’ And then I’ll say, ‘Well, this is probably the moment where Aiden should die,’ and everyone goes, ‘No!’ It’s juggling the beauty of this budding romance against the story of a vampire and a werewolf finding love with each other. I love that storyline so much, [but] one day, I might have to kill one of them. That’s just the way we roll.

When The Originals returns for the second half of season 2, sounds like there will continue to be distance between Hayley and Elijah as Hayley gets closer to Jackson. Also mentioned is that an Originals sibling will bite the dust at the hands of another. Could this be Klaus putting Kol’s head on a stake because of what he did to Rebekah?

Klaus will be juggling keeping Hope and New Orleans and the French Quarter safe as the threat of Dahlia’s return begins to be revealed. He takes Cami to the safe house, where she discovers Hope is alive. And we’ll begin to learn that Hope is not your average baby. What powers might she have that will begin to be revealed.

Michael Narducci on Hope

We want to explore what makes the child of Klaus, a hybrid, and Hayley, a werewolf, completely different from any other child on this planet. You’ll begin to see certain signs – subtle at first, then maybe not-so-subtle – in terms of how this baby is something completely unique.

As Rebekah adjusts to life in a mortal witch body, Michael Narducci reveals this situation may not be permanent. There are 1,000 years of history to explore with Rebekah through flashbacks, and it looks like Claire Holt will return for the season 2 finale, which could mean that Rebekah may return to her vampire body!

And remember Joe, who owned the record store? He’ll be back in Marcel-centric flashbacks!
