Stefan goes to New Orleans to lure Rayna from Mystic Falls in The Vampire Diaries 7×14 “Moonlight on the Bayou”!

The Vampire Diaries 7×14 “Moonlight on the Bayou” begins with Caroline taking the twins to New Orleans three years from now. She’s in the bar and there’s a snotty bar tender. Caroline asks about Klaus but he’s been gone for three years. Caroline is a little confused.

In present time, Stefan is talking to Valerie on the phone. She’s telling him the directions to a safe house. He stopped to get a phone charger and the town is practically empty. Meanwhile, the huntress is heading his way on a motorcycle very fast. She’s there before he even has time to pay for it. She tries to stake him but he manages to get a way.

Damon and Bonnie get to a beautiful house. Enzo is there to greet them. They are at an armory of super natural artifacts. Enzo was kidnapped four months ago and they made him a deal. His capturer, knows how his family is. He’s been working for the armory. They want the huntress, so they’re going to lure the huntress and Stefan to the armory.

At the hospital, Ric comes to visit Caroline. He tells her he’s moving to Dallas, today. He’s scared and wants to keep the babies safe. He plans to keep his promises to Jo. Caroline talks to him about just taking the twins and how hard it will be to travel with twins. He hired a nurse to go with him, then Caroline offers to go instead. Ric is shocked but pleasantly so.

Stefan pulls over to doctor his stab wound. He’s in New Orleans. He’s going to see Klaus, FINALLY! Stefan sits down at the bar and Klaus instantly offers him a drink.

Klaus wants to know why Stefan is there. Stefan gets a call from Damon and ignores. Klaus notices of course. Stefan tells Klaus that he and Damon are having family drama. Stefan brings up Caroline and Stefan offers another round when Klaus asks about her.

Caroline talks to Matt as she and Damon are going down the road but the babies are quite upset. Valerie is helping Matt track the huntress. Valerie makes it clear that she will do whatever it takes to keep Stefan safe.

Nora and Mary are on the run and eating junk food in the store. Nora is trying to stay hopeful, Mary is quite a Debbie downer though. Nora gives her a ring pop. Then two men shoot the girls. The armory was following them.

Damon calls Valerie to tell her about the new plan. She tells him that Stefan is in New Orleans. Valerie warns Damon about the armory and how two faced they are. Damon doesn’t like Valerie’s tone. Meanwhile, inside Enzo and Bonnie are catching up. Enzo is quite angry about his past. Bonnie listens as he vents. Damon tells Enzo that he and Bonnie are going to get Stefan. Enzo shoots Damon and knocks Bonnie out.

Damon wakes up in some sort of medical cell? He’s very disoriented. Tyler is also there, but Tyler is sleeping. Enzo walks in, apparently Tyler is in a coma. They’re keeping Tyler and Elena safe. Enzo leaves, warning that tonight is a full moon. Damon decides to stay in the cell with Tyler instead of giving Enzo Stefan’s whereabouts.

“Moonlight on the Bayou” press release synopsis

AN EXCITING CROSSOVER WITH “THE ORIGINALS” — In order to lure a vengeful vampire hunter named Rayna Cruz (guest star Leslie-Anne Huff) away from his friends in Mystic Falls, Stefan (Paul Wesley) heads to New Orleans, where Valerie (guest star Elizabeth Blackmore) has learned of a safe house that can protect him. Once there, he comes face to face with Klaus Mikaelson (guest star Joseph Morgan), who soon becomes suspicious of his old friend’s unexpected arrival in his city. Meanwhile, Enzo (Michael Malarkey), who is working on behalf of a mysterious organization called The Armory, approaches Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Bonnie (Kat Graham) with a plan that could protect Stefan from Rayna. Finally, after learning that Alaric (Matt Davis) has decided to leave for Dallas with the twins immediately, Caroline (Candice King) offers to accompany them on the trip and finds herself contemplating her own future in Mystic Falls. Zach Roerig also stars.

Enzo brings Bonnie some ice for her head. She’s not very accepting of it. Bonnie tries to use magic on Enzo but of course it won’t work. The moon is full or almost full and Damon is watching over Tyler. He’s getting a little  nervous. Tyler wakes up and is confused.

Caroline and Ric stop at a diner. She instantly starts talking about nannies. Ric takes Elizabeth to get her calm. Caroline stays with Josie to try to calm her down.

Tyler and Damon are talking. Damon gives Tyler some medicine to make him fall asleep. Apparently it didn’t work though. Bonnie is trying to leave the house but Enzo won’t let Bonnie leave. Bonnie tries to talk some sense into him though. Enzo wants someone to care for him as the Mystic Falls gang cares for each other. Bonnie knocks Enzo out and leaves.

In the cell, Tyler is trying to keep his transformation under control. Damon asks Stefan to get an antidote from Klaus.

Klaus and Stefan are still in the bar. Stefan fills Klaus in on Caroline’s situation. Klaus knows Caroline so well. Klaus wonders why Stefan left Caroline. Stefan then asks Klaus for the werewolf antidote. Klaus sees the mark on Stefan and is worried. Klaus warns Stefan that she will never give up. Stefan asks Klaus for help. Klaus pretty much tells Stefan they are done as friends and for him to leave.

Just as Stefan leaves Caroline calls his phone. Klaus is nervous to answer Stefan’s phone, but he does. Caroline is shocked to hear Klaus’ voice on the other end. Klaus gives her parenting advice, telling her to pick Josie up. It worked. Klaus offers to give her some hand me downs from him. Klaus of course pushes Caroline’s buttons. She breaks down, and he assures her Stefan will be fine. He’ll make sure of it.

Klaus reminds Caroline of her future plans. Klaus opens up to Caroline so easily. He tells Caroline that it’s not a crime to love the babies. He tells her he’s sorry about her loss. He tells her goodbye and they hang up.

In the cell, Tyler is trying so hard not to turn. Damon is very worried, Bonnie gets there but she just has to watch. Damon tells her to go get Enzo, but she can’t carry him. She cuts off his hand so she can take it to open the door.

Stefan calls Valerie first to tell her he’s on the road again. He tells her he has to help Damon. There’s a vehicle following him. He’s getting deep into the woods when he hits something. It’s actually an arrow. The huntress finds him and shoots him multiple times with arrows. She gets him down and just as she’s about to stake him, Klaus comes and knocks her off with a tire iron. Stefan asks why he’s there. The werewolves are all watching in the shadows.

In the cell, Damon is ready to fight Tyler off. Tyler warns him not to open that door. He doesn’t want to hurt Bonnie. Bonnie gets there and opens the door as Tyler is turning. Bonnie tries to fight Tyler off and he knocks Bonnie into the wall. She’s bleeding bad and Damon tries to feed her his blood so she will heal. It’s not working though.

Enzo is in a cell now and just waking up. There’s blood on the glass. Enzo somehow has his hand back. Enzo tells her he’s tired of working for free. He’s quite upset. She tells him his family is here. His family created the armory. She’s his family.

Ric and Caroline are in a cute little house. They’re eating after the girls fell asleep. Caroline and Ric have an awkward moment when she mentions leaving. He offers her a place to stay as long as she wants.

Bonnie is laying in a hospital bed, in a coma probably. Damon is holding her hand, talking to her. Making her promises. He tells her she’s a terrible friend. He tells her he’d be lost without her and feel so much guilt if something happened to her. He doesn’t want Bonnie or Stefan to keep trying to save him. He’s going to have to take himself out of the equation.

Klaus and Stefan are in a car, traveling somewhere. Klaus suddenly asks if Stefan loves Caroline. Klaus asks why? and If he still loves her. Klaus blows off the question. Klaus tells Stefan to let her go. Klaus tells Stefan he isn’t going to the train station, they’re going to find a witch.
