He finds an empty wagon that has blood on it. The Mikaelsons, killed him as a family. Kol is wanting the family to split up. He wants them to all fend for their-selves. Finn is tired of running too. Klaus and Elijah want to stick together.

In present time, Klaus is staring at  a painting of Elijah. He seems a bit mad. Freya is writing to keep Rebekah updated. She also wants advice on how to help the family reunite. Elijah is still mad about Hayley. Marcel has been busy with a fight gym. Freya and Klaus work together to keep Hope safe and happy.

Elijah takes Hope to see Hayley once a month. Marcel is begging for daylight rings from Davina. She’s so angry with them though and won’t do it. Cami and Klaus still do the therapy sessions.

Cami goes to see  Klaus today since he asked her to. He’s been painting a lot. He asked her to meet him at his own personal painting exhibition. Cami is setting some hard boundaries with Klaus. Klaus asks her to be his date to his grand opening the next day, but she declines him. She then immediately starts being his therapist and leaves not long after.

Vincent asked her to come help him with something. She meets a new detective and he wants her help with some crimes that’s been going on in the city. He needs to start a physiological profile on the murder suspect. Back at the Mikaelson home, Freya is playing with Hope. Elijah is there. Klaus then shows up and he and Elijah have some banter, Klaus is of course not very sympathetic towards Hayley’s situation. Freya breaks them up and reminds them of Hope in the room.

There is another flashback. Kol is happy with their latest kill. Elijah doesn’t want to rob the dead, however Rebekah wants to live a better life. Someone is still alive, in hiding in the nearby wagon. Elijah is the first to hear the heartbeat. The stowaway is going to help them to pretend to be royalty.  Rebekah begs to keep the man. They vote and Klaus is the deciding factor on whether to kill the man or to keep him.

It goes to present time, someone is buying a home. It’s the man from the flashback. They apparently decided to keep him and his name is Lucien. He immediately kills the realtor after introducing himself.

Meanwhile, Cami is going over the murder scene. She tells the detective there might be a repeat case soon. Davina has a meeting with the witches at the cemetery. A witch tries to go against Davina.

Cami and Vincent go to talk to Marcel. He guarantees it wasn’t his guys doing the killings. Marcel thinks it’s Klaus but Cami doesn’t. At Klaus’ art show, he listens to people as they interpret his art. Lucien shows up and Klaus seems unsurprising to see him. Lucien and Klaus seem to be on good terms.

Elijah is at the bayou, getting stuff ready for Hayley. Men with guns get out of the vehicle, and ask him to leave. Elijah doesn’t take the invitation to leave very nicely. He kills the men.

There is another flashback, the Mikaelson’s show up with Lucien. He quickly tells them what they should do. At first the Mikaelson’s are in awe of the castle and people. Lucien introduces them to nobles. Elijah quickly recovers from an uncomfortable moment. Klaus is quite happy with Lucien. Apparently Lucien hates his master, he doesn’t care if the Mikaelson’s kill everyone there. Klaus immediately catches the eye of a noble lady, Aurora.

In present in time, Klaus asks about a “her” from their past. Lucien knows the girl, her name is Aurora. Aurora and Lucien aren’t on speaking terms right now. Klaus excuses himself to go talk  to Cami. Cami sees Lucien, she’s not happy about a new Vampire in town. Klaus tells her to go talk to Elijah or Marcel about Vampire drama.

At a bar, Freya is dancing on the bar having a good time. Elijah calls her to watch Hope while he runs an errand. At Klaus’ exhibit, Klaus wants to know why Lucien is there. Lucien has came to “warn” him about vampires wanting to kill him. Klaus warns Lucien he better tell him about any information he has. Lucien assures him he will tell him. He wants to show Klaus something.

“For the Next Millennium” press release synopsis

A WAR BREWING BETWEEN THE SIRE LINES — Months following their violent and deadly showdown with the powerful witch Dahlia, a rift continues to divide brothers Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies), while Freya (Riley Voekel) searches for a way to heal their fractured bond and return their family to the way they once were. Meanwhile, Klaus’ suspicion piques when he learns that an old vampire friend named Lucien (guest star Andrew Lees) has arrived to New Orleans with a mysterious agenda involving the Mikaelson’s remaining sire lines. Elsewhere, Elijah questions whether he can truly forgive his brother for his mounting offenses, while Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) struggles with being cursed to her wolf form in the bayou. In the French Quarter, Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood) and Cami (Leah Pipes) assist Detective Kinney (guest star Jason Dohring) after a series of gruesome discoveries are made, leading them to believe they may have a serial killer on the loose. Finally, Marcel (Charles Michael Davis), who has regained control of the French Quarter once again, tries a new strategy to recruit vampires, while Davina (Danielle Campbell), who is now Regent to the New Orleans witches, makes a decision that will find her and Marcel on opposite sides of an escalating conflict.

At Marcel’s, they are having training. He goes into her old room and finds Davina there. She’s upset and scared. Marcel wants to protect her but she doesn’t want to side with the Vampires. Elijah is waiting in the bayou for Freya when she shows up to watch over Hope. Elijah sees some steel traps, he immediately breaks them and then kills the man who is watching over them. He kills two men immediately. A group of the hunters show up and Elijah kills them too.

Lucien brings Klaus to his new apartment. He’s having a party. Vampires are feeding and everyone seems blissfully happy. Klaus follows Lucien into Lucien’s bed room. There’s a women there, her name is Alexis. She puts her hands on Klaus’ heart to give him a warning. She offers herself to him and Lucien so that they can see what she’s thinking. She starts chanting, pretty much promising to break the family apart. There is a beast coming.

Meanwhile, Elijah is still working on cleaning up the traps. Hayley shows up and murders the man. Oh, it’s not Hayley, it’s another woman. The woman warns that Hayley might be dead.

Vincent and Cami are having a drink and going over the case photos. They don’t know what to do about the vampires vs humans fight. Detective Kinney calls Cami because there has been another murder, like the previous murder.

Klaus and Lucien are still with Alexis. Lucien offers to help Klaus. Klaus of course, spazzes and is quite rude to Lucien. Lucien tells Klaus to start acting like the man that he is. If he wants to be feared then he should act like it. To quit dotting on a freaking human. I’m a fan of Lucien right now. Lucien offers his full loyalty to Klaus. But Klaus makes it clear he doesn’t trust anyone.

Elijah is finding wolves and is worried for Hayley. Vincent and Marcel are sparring. Marcel is trying to tell him that it’s not his guys doing the killing. Marcel is mad at Vincent for leaving Davina to the witches.

Hayley is naked, Davina has her trapped in the Crypts. She needs Hayley’s help. Hayley just wants to see Hope. Cami gets home and Klaus is there. He has a painting for her. He wants a therapy meeting as soon as possible. She doesn’t want to talk tonight. Cami is mad at him, at the Vampires. She is sick of the Vampires doing whatever. Klaus is alone right now, and needed her help.

Klaus finds the art critic and immediately tears him apart and drinks from him. Lucien is in his room and cuts his face like those who have been killed around town.

There’s a woman praying when she gets a note and suddenly kills the man who delivered the message.
