Dahlia gets into Klaus’ head to try and get Hope in The Originals 2×20 “City Beneath the Sea” episode rerun!

The Originals 2×20 “City Beneath the Sea” begins Dahlia doing a ritual. Jackson, Hayley and their werewolves arrive in the bayou as Elijah and Rebekah look at a daggered Klaus in his coffin. Davina works on bringing Kol back. Freya is alone.

Dahlia psychically brings Klaus into her dream world. Klaus isn’t happy with events and being with her, but she wants him to hear her story. He follows her and sees vikings butchering people. She and Esther are teenagers and she tries to protect Esther, but Vikings drag them off. Dahlia wants her and Klaus to be allies.

Freya, with Elijah, is upset that Hope is gone. She wants Hope brought back to use as bait to get Dahlia. Elijah starts to doubt Freya’s motives.

Rebekah is mad at Marcel, who wants to keep her safe.

Vincent comes and they want his help in unlinking Rebekah from Davina and the other young witches.

Marcel leaves so Rebekah and Vincent can work on it.

Elijah shows up as Cami works at the bar. When she finds out Klaus is daggered, Cami tells him that Klaus is innocent of Aiden’s murder. Elijah knows she cares for Klaus but doesn’t want her feelings to cloud her judgement.

Jackson finishes Aiden’s grave and Hayley wants him to have a real Crescent burial.

Rebekah is aggravated, but Elijah tells her about Klaus as well as Freya’s plan. He says he wants to make a decoy in order to lure Dahlia.

Marcel comes to Josh, who is packing to leave. He finds Aiden’s shirt and sniffs it, sad, broken, and lonely. He didn’t get a chance to tell Aiden goodbye.

Dahlia shows Klaus where she was in captivity and explains she used dark magic to keep Esther safe. Klaus doesn’t care about her past. Esther and Mikael were happy as Dahlia worked on getting them out of their captivity. Esther didn’t want to use magic or leave Mikael, and Dahlia didn’t want Esther to leave her. Klaus realizes how similar they are.

Rebekah and Davina are working with Cami to try and transfer Hope’s essence into a decoy.

The werewolves are walking in the bayou to bury Aiden as Hayley feeds Hope. Jackson tells her about his past.

Dahlia points out that Klaus has painted her and Esther as villains, but she wants to tell him about Hope and how he can save her. She shows him a time when Freya was doing magic. Freya was angry and she tried to calm her. She was tired of just being with Dahlia and her magic isn’t controlled. She finally calms her down. Dahlia wants to help calm Hope’s magic down by taking her under her wing so she can learn how to control her magic.

Elijah and Marcel are looking at Klaus, wondering what to do. Elijah thinks Klaus should stay daggered until Hope is safe.

Cami brings them coffee. Vincent says the coven wants to join them as their leader. Cami tells him she would like him to use his magic for good by helping with the decoy.

Marcel calls Hayley and tells her Klaus is innocent of Aiden’s death. Freya is trying to find Hayley and Hope as Elijah tells her to go to the battlefield. He’ll then bring her Hope.

LOOMING DEADLINES AND ENTICING PROPOSITIONS – When Dahlia (guest star Claudia Black) devises a clever way to get Klaus’ (Joseph Morgan) attention, she reveals some startling details about baby Hope and leaves him with an enticing proposition to consider. Elsewhere, while Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Freya (guest star Riley Voelkel) find themselves with opposing views on how best to handle Dahlia’s looming deadline, Rebekah (guest star Maisie Richardson-Sellers), Davina (Danielle Campbell), and Cami (Leah Pipes) work together to come up with their own strategy. Meanwhile, following a tense stand-off between Elijah and Jackson (guest star Nathan Parsons) in the bayou, Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) is left to make a difficult decision about her and Hope’s future. Finally, Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood), who is eager to leave his witch past behind him, approaches Davina with an offer that leaves her intrigued.

The werewolves start to attach Elijah in the bayou, He remains calm as Jackson starts being an ass. Hayley arrives and Elijah tells her about his plan, explaining he needs some of Hope’s blood.

Dahlia wants Klaus to think about her offer. But in order for it to work, Hayley must be dead. Dahlia blows some stuff in his face and he wakes up.

Jackson plays with Hope in the bayou and tells Hayley about Aiden and their childhood. He says Elijah wants her to return to the Mikaelson compound. He says he ok with it, as long as she remembers the werewolves are her family. He intends to remain and be their leader. Hayley sais she’s staying. She tells him she invited Josh to Aiden’s funeral to say goodbye since they loved each other.

At the compound, Freya starts the ritual to get rid of Dahlia. Elijah injects Hope’s blood into Freya, who is now the bait to lure Dahlia.

Davina works on getting Kol back when Vincent comes. She’s cautious around Vincent who says he wants her help. He wants her to be the leader of the coven instead of him. He says she’ll need more magic if she wants to bring Kol back.

At Aiden’s funeral, Josh is saying goodbye to him. Then Jackson pushes the boat carrying Aiden’s body into the swamp.

Hayley calls Elijah and tells him goodbye. She and Hope can’t be part of the Mikaelson family anymore. As Rebekah and Elijah listen to the voicemail, Klaus arrives and hears the end of it. Elijah, broken, understands and Rebekah does, too.

The episode ends with Klaus deciding to go to Dahlia. Dahlia is ready to get Hope and take the Mikaelson family down. Klaus is ready to take them down, too.

In the bayou, Dahlia starts a storm. Hayley and her werewolves won’t be leaving there tonight.

The next episode of The Originals is the re-air of 2×21 “Fire with Fire” on Monday, June 22nd, 2015, (Originally aired May 4th, 2015), at 8/7c, on The CW!
