The Originals 2×18 “Night Has a Thousand Eyes” starts with Hayley and Jackson strolling in the Quarter with Hope, when they’re spooked by a violinist. Hayley gets paranoid at everybody looking at her. Dahlia is watching. Klaus arrives to help defend Hope.

They rush home for a family meeting. Elijah tries to calm Klaus‘ temper. Freya isn’t sure what to do, but all except Klaus drinks a tonic that will make it harder for Dahlia to use any of them for her agenda. Freya plans to use Jackson in order to find Dahlia.

Klaus comes to see Davina, who is at Kol’s grave in the cemetery. He wants her help to find Mikael. He wants to know what he plans are to bring Kol back. She says if he gives her Kol’s ashes, then she’ll help him.

Aiden and Josh have a sleep over when Aiden gets a call from Klaus wanting him to go to the compound to do some digging.

At home, Jackson says he’s worried that he’ll hurt Hayley or Hope and he doesn’t want them to suffer because of Klaus’ family issues with Dahlia.

Davina, with Klaus, doesn’t like how he’s using Aiden. She brings him down a peg when she reminds him he’s not really that different. Then Mikael arrives. Klaus tells him he wants to join forces.

Elijah and Marcel meet the Josephine at St. James infirmary. They want her to make it a safe haven, and Elijah warns her that she doesn’t want them to as enemies if she doesn’t help. She agrees to perform a blessing.

Klaus, with the White Oak stake, sits with Mikael in a pub in the Quarter and talk about his recent journey. Although they butt heads, they manage to find some mutual ground.

At the compound, Freya and Rebekah are using Jackson to find Dahlia. Rebekah suddenly stops and reveals the Dahlia’s power is strong because she’s using Freya. She suggests that Freya should leave since she’s linked to Dahlia and is increasing Dahlia’s powers. Freya understands and leaves.

Klaus and Mikael are still talking at the pub. Mikael’s not sure he’s ready to join with Klaus, then Klaus reminds him they both have daughters to save. Mikael asks Klaus what he wants. When Dahlia shows up and breaks a glass, Klaus and Mikael agree to work together.

Freya is being stared at by everybody as she walks down the street. She knows Dahlia is watching her through their eyes. She starts to run when Dahlia arrives. Freya, scared, knows Dahlia plans to kill the Mikaelsons. She agrees to take Freya back, after she teaches Klaus and Mikael a lesson.

When Elijah returns to the compound, he’s furious that they sent Freya away because of her insight into how Dahlia works. He tells them they’re all going to St. James Infirmary, and that for now Freya is part of their team.

Klaus and Mikael are working on a plan with Davina, as she works a spell. Mikael has items that will hopefully bring down Dahlia. Mikael gives a knife to Davina so she can bind everything together so they can kill Dahlia.

At the compound, Elijah and Rebekah listen to Freya as she tells them she wants to kill Dahlia, too. She tells them Dahlia is going to St. Anne’s Church. When Klaus and Mikael show up she’ll be waiting for them, and she has her powerful witch minions who are going to be there, too. The plan is for them to surround Klaus and Mikael and make them fight the group.

At home, Jackson looks over a book when Aiden comes. Jackson invites him him and wants his advice. He wants help getting Hayley and Hope out of harm’s way. Aiden, worried, doesn’t want to do it. Then Jackson asks him to act as Alpha in his absence.

Klaus and Mikael are putting up a great fight. Aiden meets Josh at the compound and Josh thinks Aiden is lying to him. He thinks Aiden is acting shady. Then Aiden confesses everything. Josh assures him they’ll figure things out.

Klaus and Mikael have killed Dahlia’s witches at the church. She appears to know they would do this, then she begins killing them both.

Hayley and Jackson talk at the compount, and she agrees to leave before Jackson even mentions it. In fact, she’s already packed and all ready to leave.

At the church, Dahlia seems to be successful at killing Klaus and Mikael. She wants Mikael to suffer, but Freya arrives and orders her to stop. Dahlia pauses, then starts to choke Freya. Mikael stabs her. Elijah and Klaus try to take down Dahlia, but she vanishes, along with the knife they planned to kill her with.

When Marcel and Josh arrive to take Hayley and Hope away, they’re gone. She and Jackson wait for Aiden but he doesn’t show up. When Marcel arrives she acts like they were waiting for Marcel all along to take them to St. James.

Everybody is trying to regroup at the church when Dahlia appears again, burning the knife as they watch. She says she’s ready to deal. If they giver her baby Hope, she’ll quit and then leave.

Aiden and Josh meet at the bar and Aiden tells him he regrets joining with Klaus. He’s guilty for lying and trying to betray Jackson. Josh says he doesn’t think everything is Aiden’s fault.

Elijah meets with everybody to try and come up with a new plan. Klaus tells Mikael the time has come to end the alliance they had. Freya is furious with him. Klaus says he just wants a new knife made and grabs Mikael. Klaus lets loose a speech to Mikael saying he was being a shitty father and wants to know why Mikael always hated him.

Mikael admits he doesn’t know why he hated him. Klaus cries and wants to know if Mikael has any final words. Mikael looks at Freya and apologizes, saying he loves her. Then Klaus stakes Mikael with the White Oak stake and they watch him burn.

Klaus reveals he didn’t want to kill Mikael, but they needed the ashes of a Viking, and that’s what Mikael was.

Back in the Quarter, Josephine talks to a violist, who is really Dahlia. Josephine knows it is Dahlia.

As “Night Has a Thousand Eyes” ends, Josephine asks to play a last tune. Dahlia heals her hands and she takes the violin, and after playing a beautiful, soulful song, Dahlia takes the violin bow and slices Josephine’s throat, leaving her in the street.
